JuneFest was a festival celebrating diversity in children’s publishing.

The idea behind JuneFest from the very beginning was to bring Independent Publishers together in order to create a diverse and inclusive children’s books festival as a collective. We wanted this event to amplify those who work hard for diversity and inclusion in publishing.

Coordinated by Alanna Max in conjunction with the Stroud Green and Harringay Library in North London, the festival featured a line up of  13 author and illustrator events in June, 2018. The month-long, fun and free programme of book readings, workshops and entertainment featured internationally known authors, illustrators & poets from some of the best UK-based independent childrens books publishers

Alanna Max, Cassava Republic, Lantana Publishing, Otter-Barry Books, Tiny Owl and Troika Books.

Books from the publishers were available to buy every Saturday of June.
